…was the word most aptly used when a really wonderful group of women came together at Murobond to learn basketry on Saturday.
Was it Merewyn’s Kiwi accent that had that word ringing so beautifully in my head? Maybe… but it was also the unexpected pool of talent and wealth of creative experience in the room. Our group comprised THREE ceramicists, an interior designer, a colour consultant, a gardener, an accountant, a casino worker/ex-80’s fashion designer looking to reinvigorate her creative side (sans happy pants with pom-poms) and two graphic designers with young babies escaping the daily treadmill. We made a big mess, got really into the weaving and everyone made something extraordinary to take home. Here are just a few pics from the day.
Inspiring to be surrounded by all the earthy homewares and Murobond hues. Looking forward to a serendipity fix at the next Murobond workshop already.
The 18th August at Wilde’s Meadow still has a few spaces so if you want to book in, head to the workshops page download a booking form and let me know as soon as you can.
